Egenskaper

File extension .jpg/.jpeg
Internet media type image/jpeg
Description: JPEG, or Joint Photographic Experts Group, is a graphic file format that uses lossy compression. A JPEG image combines a relatively small size with a wide color range and sufficient quality to be displayed on most devices. JPEG format supports various ratios of compression which makes it perfect for both digital photography and web graphics.
Technical Details: There are 16 million possible colors in a JPEG file, 8 bits per each color. The colors in a JPEG file are displayed according to the RGB (red, green, blue) profile with the color values varying from 0 to 255. The JPEG compression makes the size of a bitmap image ten times smaller while the reduction in the image quality is nearly unnoticeable.

File extension .pdf
Internet media type application/pdf
Description: PDF, or Portable Document Format, is a versatile cross-platform file extension that is based on the PostScript vector graphics. It allows the embedding of fonts, as well as vector and bitmap images. All these features combined enable users to store graphic and text information in high quality while the file size remains relatively small.
Technical Details: A PDF file contains information about the page layout and all the page elements such as hyperlinks, buttons, fillable fields, embedded media, bookmarks, etc. Since the original document formatting always remains the same, PDF is considered the industry standard for printing. It is also the most popular format when it comes to sharing files between users regardless of their hardware and software.
